Silver clay is a material that converts to pure silver when it is fired in a kiln to a temperature of 1650F. I oxidise my pieces after firing to produce a ‘distressed’ look, but this can be made more shiny with further polishing. The only known location for Bumblebee Jasper is found on or near Mount Papandayan, an active volcano in Indonesia. The deposit(s) are hidden in the jungle and primarily mined using basic hand tools. The beautiful yellow and gray bands are produced by different volcanic minerals. Size: pendant 1” square, chain 18”.
